AMSINO AND BACTIGUARD ESTABLISH GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP

Pomona, California, January 10, 2007 - Amsino International, Inc., a leading medical device developer and manufacturer, and Bactiguard AB, a rapidly growing Swedish Nanotech firm have signed a global contract for a collaboration to produce urological catheters with Bactiguard’s unique antimicrobial coating. The contract was signed by Dr. Richard Y. Lee, CEO of Amsino International and Christian Kinch, CEO of Bactiguard in Stockholm, Sweden.

Nosocomial, or hospital aquired infections, have become a major global healthcare burden and the problem has been exacerbated by increased incidences of antibiotic resistance. Up to one-third of all nosocomial infections affect the urinary tract.

Through their partnership, Amsino International and Bactiguard are poised to significantly affect the nascent landscape of hospital infection control in areas like China and Southeast Asia.
